Ed Hutzel started off in business in 1972 as a Goodyear Go Centre in Richmond Hill located on Yonge St. At that time they focused on tires and mechanical services. Ed moved away from the Goodyear banner and relocated his business on Yonge St just North of Elgin Mills where they focused solely on automotive tires, truck tires, and farm tires moving away from the mechanical business. Ed’s daughter Georgina started working in the business while she was in grade 11 assisting with the book keeping as well as other office tasks. In 1992 the shop moved again to it’s current location at 346 Enford Road.
Ed and Georgina have always been located in the industrial business area of Richmond Hill but with the recent rapid growth in the housing market the area is now surrounded by subdivisions, plazas and condos.
Richmond Hill Tire has become a staple in the local area by providing superior service and value to their customers and the community. Ed, after 43 years can still be found on the front counter assisting customers and handling dispatch. Georgina has assumed more roles within the business but still handles the paper work and operations. They have 2 mobile service trucks to service the trucking, construction, light OTR and farming industry. The shop is well equipped to handle all passenger and light truck tire needs. They also offer in house vulcanization repairs for truck, industrial, construction and farm tires.
